Mercier Pushes Marquez Off

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Three players saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the action was checked around to Jason Mercier on the button. Mercier threw in a bet of 22,000 and was called by Ana Marquez in the big blind. Ryan Drossel got out of the way and the {6-Spades} landed on the turn.

Marquez checked again to Mercier who also checked this time. The {k-Diamonds} peeled off on the river and Marquez checked one more time. Mercier thought for a minute before putting in a bet of 58,000.

Marquez went into the tank for a good three minutes, looking back at her cards a couple times, hoping they would somehow change for the better. Marquez eventually slid her cards face down to the middle of the table and Mercier let out a deep breath while he dragged in the pot.
