Ramos Cannot Connect

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Jordan Siegel opened to 125,000 from the button and Felipe Ramos called from the small blind. Filippos Stavrakis then bet 500,000 and Siegel folded.

Ramos thought for around five minutes before moving all in for enough to cover his opponent and Stavrakis made the call with his last 170,000. Players then flipped their hands and Stavrakis would be at risk.

Filippos Stavrakis: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Felipe Ramos: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The flop came down {2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} and Stavrakis was still ahead. The turn came the {5-Hearts} and Ramos now picked up some more outs. The river came the {q-Clubs} and Stavrakis took down the pot with his straight, leaving Ramos as the short stack.
