Monroe Scoops Sexton

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Paul Sexton had open fours but Richard Monroe just kept catching good cards and had four to a wheel after betting fifth and sixth.

"Do you ever catch a bad card?" Sexton wondered.

"I try to avoid it."

Nonetheless, Sexton called and they went to seventh.

Sexton: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}/{x-}
Monroe: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}/{x-}

Monroe's final bet was called and he showed {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades} for aces and a low. That was a scooper, much to the consternation of Sexton, who swore a few times. He was left with 6,000 but scooped the next hand.
