Sievers Continues Climbing

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

James Sievers: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Eli Elezra: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Richard Monroe: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} - fold on sixth

Richard Monroe led out with fives out, earning calls from Eli Elezra and James Sievers. All players checked on fifth and Sievers bet on sixth when he paired his eight. Monroe escaped but Elezra called.

"Please, don't river me," Sievers said to Elezra and they both checked the last street. Sievers turned up aces and eights and scooped the pot. While he was down to fewer than two bets just a few moments ago, he's now playing 210,000.
