Terry Fan raised to 34,000 from the under-the-gun position and Scotty Nguyen, in mid-position, and Sameer Aljanedi, in the hijack, called.

The dealer spread the {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, both Fan and Nguyen checked. Aljanedi bet 50,000, Fan folded and Nguyen raised to 150,000. Aljanedi called without hesitating.

The turn brought them the {6-Spades}, Nguyen shoved for about 400,000 and Aljanedi snap-called.

Scotty Nguyen: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Sameer Aljanedi: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Nguyen had flopped a set of sevens but Aljanedi had turned a straight. Nguyen needed the board to pair to survive this hand.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades}, no help for Nguyen as the five-time WSOP bracelet winner was eliminated in 46th place.
