Moorman Can't Fade a Club River

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

On the {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Spades} flop, Chris Moorman was in the cutoff, betting 500 in the pot. His opponent check-raised out of the big blind, making it 3,000. Moorman called.

The turn came {9-Clubs} and Moorman faced a bet of 5,500. He eyed his opponent's stack and made a gesture, interpreted as a request for a clear view of the remaining chips. Then he raised to 12,000.

The chips went into the middle as Moorman's opponent shoved for 25,900 and Moorman called after a quick double-check of his holdings.

Moorman was ahead with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a turned straight, but his rival was drawing live with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Moorman had to dodge a club card on the river, but the dealer didn't allow him as the {4-Clubs} completed the board.

Moorman took a hit to his stack and continued with 14,500.
