Zimmerman Doubles Through Varnell

Level 31 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Seth Zimmerman
Seth Zimmerman

Seth Zimmerman raised to 350,000 from the button, Craig Varnell made a pot-sized reraise to 1,150,000 from the small blind, and Zimmerman called to put himself at risk.

Seth Zimmerman: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Craig Varnell: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Varnell had the preflop edge and Zimmerman needed to improve in order to stay alive. Both players made trips on the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop but Zimmerman had the lead with the better kicker. The {J-Hearts} on the turn gave Varnell straight and flush draws, but the {7-Spades} changed nothing, so Zimmerman took the pot to double up.
