Makarov Doubles with Buried Aces

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Chris Klodnicki had the bring-in and Alexey Makarov completed. Adam Friedman made it two bets and Klodnicki folded.

Makarov called, and when Friedman bet fourth, Makarov raised. Friedman called, and on fifth he led out again as Makarov raised all in for his last 325,000 with Friedman calling. Each player's boards ran out as follows:

Makarov: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} / {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} / {K-Diamonds}
Friedman: {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {K-Spades}{A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {Q-Hearts}

With Makarov's buried aces remaining the best hand, he doubled through Friedman.
