Brereton's Flush Beats Petrov's Straight

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

All of Yordan Petrov's chip stack was being moved over to Luke Brereton when the latter told us how the hand went down.

Petrov raised and Brereton defended his big blind to see a {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. The turn came the {k-Clubs} and the river the {j-Diamonds}. There was action on all three streets and after the river had fallen both players had committed all their chips.

Luke Brereton: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Yordan Petrov: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Both players had flopped the nuts, but it was Brereton who improved to a flush on the river to take all the chips and eliminate Petrov. It was another great run for Petrov, however, who secures his second WSOP cash in as many days after he finished in 56th place for $4,602 in Event #13.
