Soverel Beats Duhamel

Level 4 : 400/800, 0 ante

When we walked by, Jonathan Duhamel was getting up while Sam Soverel waited for the tournament director. When the paperwork was done, Soverel told us how he had just won his match.

High Roller Soverel, who won a bracelet in 2016, told us he opened the button for 1,900 and Duhamel three-bet to 5,700. Soverel called and saw Duhamel check on {A-}{8-}{3-} rainbow with one heart. Soverel bet 6,500 and Duhamel called.

Both checked the {A-Hearts} on the turn and the {10-Hearts} hit the river. With now three hearts on the board, Duhamel shoved for 22,000. Soverel called with {A-}{5-} no hearts. Duhamel showed{J-}{J-} no hearts and inquired about the $5,000 he was to get back for playing the first round.

Soverel returns to the Amazon Room at 6 PM.
