Level 22
Brian Hastings
Brian Hastings

Omaha Hi-Lo

Brian Hastings opened from under the gun and was called by Andrey Zhigalov in middle position. Jonathan Breneman three-bet on the button and Hastings was all in for 35,000. Zhigalov also called and the flop fell {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Zhigalov check-called a bet from Breneman and the action was the same on the {4-Spades} turn and the {6-Hearts} river. Breneman tabled {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to win the low and Zhigalov held {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} to win the high with a straight. Hastings couldn't beat either hand and sent his cards to the muck as he was eliminated in 15th place.

Suketu Patel got all of his chips in the middle on third street and was up against Damjan Radanov, the chipleader coming into the day.

With all of the cards face up, Patel made two pair, eights and fours, but it wasn't enough to overcome Radanov's larger two pair, kings and jacks. Patel headed for the payout desk while Radanov stacked up his chips.

James Opie Elminated in 20th Place ($5,850)

Level 22
James Opie
James Opie

Omaha Hi-Lo

James opened from late position and was called by Andrew Zhigalov in the big blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Opie bet, Zhigalov check-raised enough to put his opponent all in. Opie made the call and the players then flipped over their hands.

Andrey Zhigalov : {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
James Opie: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}

The turn came the {q-Spades} and the river fell the {5-Clubs}. Zhigalov took three-quarters of the pot and Opie was left short.

The very next hand Opie would be all in preflop, getting called by Matt Woodward and Andrey Zhigalov. Players would check until the river where Zhigalov would get a bet in and a call from Woodward. Zhigalov would table the best hand at showdown, eliminating Opie and scooping in the side pot.
