Pepper Gets a Little Lucky

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

After an opening raise from a player in early position to 5,000, action folded to Jason Pepper in middle position. He raised, making it 11,000 and action folded back around to the player in early position. He thought for several minutes about the hand before the clock was called. About midway through his time, the player decided to move all in and Pepper snap-called.

"I hope you have queens," the player said.

Jason Pepper: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The other player was excited to see Pepper's hand, but he was much less excited when the flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} leaving him drawing to a ten or a king. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} which reduced his amount of outs even more and the river was the {K-Hearts} which gave him a pair, but it was no good as Pepper made trips and took down the pot, moving him to right around 100,000 chips.
