McEwan Bluffs Off Stack

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Trevor Martin opened for 65,000 in the cutoff, and Matthew McEwan three-bet from the button to 180,000. Martin called immediately when the blinds folded, checking a flop of {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. McEwan bet 105,000, and Martin called. Two checks followed the {8-Clubs} turn, and a {3-Clubs} hit the river. Martin bet 200,000, and McEwan slid both of his towers forward, pushing all in for about 900,000.

"You know what...I was gonna put him all in anyways," Martin said. "I call."

He flipped over {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for aces up with a king kicker, and McEwan mucked his hand. Per tournament rules, the dealer turned over {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}.
