Artur Arrives
After a very eventful morning which included a skateboarding accident, a trip to the hospital and several X-rays, Artur Koren has finally arrived at the Rio for Day 2a of the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Contrary to previous reports, we discovered that Koren wasn't struck by a car - he simply fell.
"We were coming from the Palms," the Austrian told his table. "There is a ramp. We usually don't take it, but we were in a rush."
On one of the first hands Koren played, he called a raise from an opponent out of the blinds. The two took a flop of , Koren check-called a bet of 2,700, and the pair knuckled on the turn ().
The completed the board, Koren led out for 4,000, and his opponent made a quick call. The Austrian showed for a pair of jacks, and was awarded the pot.
