Heitmann Off to Watch the World Cup

Level 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Upon his arrival to the Amazon Purple section, German pro Jan Heitmann requested the nearest TV be turned to the FIFA World Cup Germany vs. Brazil match, a requested that was honored by the staff.

Heitmann seemed more interested in that game than the Main Event, but that didn't stop him from playing a little poker. In what ended up being his final hand, Heitmann got his chips in (it appeared to be on the turn) holding the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} on a board reading {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Unfortunately for him, Angus Wong had flopped two pair with the {6-Spades}{4-Spades}. The {J-Spades} river was of no consequence, and that was all she wrote for Heitmann.

"Have a good day," someone at the table told Heitmann.

"That depends on this match," Heitmann said while motioning to the World Cup on TV. Given Germany scored a couple of minutes later, we're guessing Heitmann isn't too torn up over his exit.
