American Cedes to Filatov Agression

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Russian Pro Anatoly Filatov was in the big blind and had bet 3,700 on the turn of a board reading {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and his opponent was thinking. One of the players not in the hand stood up and whispered in our reporter’s ear, “It’s the young, aggressive Russian versus the short-stacked American.”

The American called and the river card was the {10-Hearts}. Filatov moved some chips around and bet 25,000 which covered his opponents 11,000 stack. Did Filatov have it? Could he have it? We’ll never know as his opponent folded and Filatov received admiring murmurs for the river bet. Whose side are they on?
