Hands #30-33: Haugo Doubles with Unlikely Flush

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand 30: Danny Nguyen opened for a raise and Frank Patti defended his big blind. Patti check-called 47,000 on the {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Both players checked through the {4-Spades} and {a-Clubs}.

Patti showed {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for bottom pair, which was good.

Hand 31: Nguyen raised to 42,000 under the gun, and Chris Haugo called. The flop brought {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Nguyen bet 52,000. Haugo called, and a {7-Hearts} hit the board. Nguyen bet 87,000 and Haugo slid his cards to the dealer.

Hand 32: Haugo shoved under the gun; nobody called him.

Hand 33: Patti opened for 40,000 and Haugo pushed all in for 354,000 in the big blind after everyone else folded. Patti called immediately.

Patti: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Haugo: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, no help to Haugo.

"Seven of diamonds for the sweat," Patti asked.

"Thanks for the support," Haugo replied.

The turn was a diamond - the {q-Diamonds} - bringing a possible backdoor flush. The {8-Diamonds} river completed that flush, giving Haugo an unlikely double.
