Bees Triples

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Scott Abrams raised from the hijack and Michael Bees made it three bets from the cutoff. Action came to Sun Kwak in the smalll blind who flatted the three-bet. Abrams called as well and the flop fell {10-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Kwak and Abrams checked to Bees who led out. Kwak raised, Abrams called, and Bees called all in.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Kwak led at the side pot with a bet. Abrams called once more and the {3-Hearts} finished the board. Both players checked and Kwak showed {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for jacks and tens. It was no good, however, as Bees showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the scoop with a straight. He now has about 115,000 in chips.

Richey Scoopy Doops

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

A short-stacked Brett Richey got the last of his chips in against Matt Glantz and the cards were turned over:

Richey: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Glantz: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Glantz took the lead with his pair of tens. The turn was the {9-Clubs} to give Richey a flush. David Williams said "Scoopy Doop" but Richey did not see the flush as he stood up and said "nice hand" to Glantz. Richey wasn't out of the woods yet though as a ten or nine would give Glantz a full house. The river was the {7-Spades} and as Richey started to leave the table, Williams pointed out that he had won the hand.

"Oh, I had clubs," said Richey, sitting back down.

A short-stacked Justin Bonomo was in the big blind and forced all in for his final 7,000. Action folded around to Steve Lustig who raised the cutoff. The button and small blind folded, allowing the hands to be tabled for Bonomo's tournament life.

Lustig: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Bonomo: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The board fell {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, sealing Bonomo's fate and sending him to the rail. He collected $11,191 for his finish.

Morgan Over Burr

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Melissa Burr raised from late position and found a call from Jordan Morgan in the big blind. The flop came down {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Morgan checked to Burr. She continued out only to have Morgan come over the top with a raise. Burr called.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Morgan fired out a bet. Burr thought for about 30 seconds before dropping out a call. The {9-Spades} paired the board on the river and Burr called one final bet. Morgan rolled over {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a straight to the jack. Burr mucked and Morgan pulled in the pot.

Another Boat For Abrams

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Brendan Taylor opened for a raise and Scott Abrams made the call with the rest of the table folding. The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Taylor bet. Abrams raised and Taylor made it three bets. Abrams called.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Taylor bet with Abrams making the call. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Taylor bet again. This time Abrams raised and Taylor called.

Abrams turned over {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a full house, nines full of fives, and Taylor flashed his cards quickly before tossing them to the dealer.

Bonomo Survives

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Justin Bonomo raised first to act and found a call from Marvin Rosen in the small blind and Matt Glantz in the big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Rosen checked. Glantz bet, Bonomo called, and Rosen check-raised. Glantz and Bonomo both called with Bonomo's call setting him all in. Rosen and Glantz would check down the {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} turn and river, and Rosen would show {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for tens and nines.

"I haven't looked yet," said Bonomo. "Did spades come?"

Bonomo glanced at the board and smiled. "Oh, that's good for me," he said, tabling {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for the nut-low to take half the pot and survive.

Abrams' Boat is Bigger

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Sun Kwak and Scott Abrams saw a flop of {5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} in a raised pot. Kwak checked over to Abrams who led out with a bet from the button. Kwak slid out a check-raise, and Abrams called.

The {2-Hearts} fell on the turn and Kwak continued out. On this street, though, it was Abrams who put out a raise. Kwak flatted and the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Kwak checked, Abrams fired, and Kwak raised. Abrams called to see a showdown.

"Five-deuce," said Kwak, tabling {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{x-}{x-} for a full house of deuces full of fives. Abrams had a bigger full house, though, with {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for queens full of deuces. Abrams scooped up the pot and now has about 400,000 in chips.

Bojang Wins a Chunk From Milchman

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Zach Milchman turned over {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the nut low with a pair of sevens. "Three quarters," said Ismael Bojang as he turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low with a pair of aces. That moved Milchman into dangerous territory with 77,000 while Bojang moved to 200,000.
