Dan Smith Has No Balls

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Smith - No balls
Dan Smith - No balls

Scott Seiver and Bill Klein checked to Dan Smith on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, and he fired out 140,000. Antonio Esfandiari folded, Seiver called, and Klein folded.

The turn was the {10-Clubs}, both players checked, and the {k-Clubs} completed the board. Seiver checked, and Smith tanked for a bit before checking behind.

"I have no balls," Smith announced.

Seiver showed {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a pair of queens, but as Smith suspected he had the best of it with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Aces For Esfandiari

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The board showed {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} when Antonio Esfandiari had put out a bet of 251,000. Dan Smith went deep into the tank and eventually he called.

Smith mucked when Esfandiair tabled {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and the defending champ is back up over the starting stack.

Kurganov Falls to Trickett

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Igor Kurganov - Eliminated
Igor Kurganov - Eliminated

Sam Trickett made it 60,000 to go from early position and Igor Kurganov three-bet the action to 165,000 from the next seat over. Action folded back around to Trickett and he cut out a four-bet to 270,000. Kurganov called.

The flop brought {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to the felt and Trickett continued out for 360,000. Kurganov spent right around four minutes in the tank before announcing an all in raise for what looked to be about 1.2 million total. Trickett instantly dropped forward calling chips and the hands were turned over.

Trickett: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Kurganov: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Kurganov led at the moment with his pocket queens and continued to hold the lead as the {4-Diamonds} dropped down on the felt. Unfortunately for Kurganov, the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river and gave Trickett a winning straight to the jack. Kurganov exited the tournament area and Trickett increased his already massive chip lead to about 10.5 million.

Galfond's Going to Macau; Lindgren Shoves

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

Phil Galfond fired out what looked like 150,000 on a completed board of {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, and his neighbor Rono Lo called.

Galfond rolled over {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, which absolutely stunned Lo.

"HUH?!?!?" he blurted before turning over {j-Hearts}{8-Spades} for trips.

"He can come to Macau too, right?" Phil Ivey asked Lo. "With the deuce-four?"

"Yeah," Lo said, nodding fervently as he dragged the pot. "Yeah."

The very next hand, Daniel Negreanu raised to 60,000 from the hijack seat, Erick Lindgren called in the cutoff, Galfond called on the button, and Lo called in the small blind.

The dealer spread {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, the action checked to Negreanu, and he bet 135,000. All three of his opponents called.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, the action checked to Lindgren, and he moved all in for about 1.2 million. All three players folded, and Lindgren pulled in the pot.

"I folded queen-ten of hearts," Ivey announced before chuckling to himself.

Heinecker Regains Some Ground

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Niklas Heinecker
Niklas Heinecker

German high roller Niklas Heinecker just called a raise from the blinds after his fellow countryman Christoph Vogelsang had made it 50,000 from the cutoff.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and both players checked.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Heinecker lead out for 70,000, Vogelsang called.

On the river the {10-Clubs} hit and Heinecker bet another 170,000. Vogelsang tanked for quite a while but eventually he called. Heineker tabled {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and he took down this pot.

Flush for Seiver

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Antonio Esfandiari checked, and Scott Seiver bet 65,000. Esfandiari called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, and both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} land on the river. Esfandiari led for 104,000, and Seiver called.

Esfandiari showed the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for just ace high without a flush. Seiver showed the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a flush, and he won the pot.
