Laliberté Shows "One"

Level 4 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Guy Laliberté
Guy Laliberté

Guy Laliberté raised to 28,000 in the cutoff, Tobias Reinkemeier called on the button, and Tony Gregg defended his big blind. The flop fell {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Gregg checked, and Laliberté continued for 53,000. Only Gregg called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, both players checked, and the pair both knuckled when the {a-Spades} completed the board. Gregg turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and raked in the pot.

The very next hand, Laliberté opened to 28,000, Daniel Cates three-bet to 84,000 on the button, and Laliberté responded with a four-bet to 228,000. Cates folded.

"Show one," Doug Polk told Laliberté.

"Just one?" The French-Canadian responded.

Polk nodded, and Laliberté pushed forward one of the "BIG ONE for ONE DROP" buttons before mucking has hand face down.

"There you go," he said, grinning. "There's 'one.'"
