Morgan's Playing Bad No Matter What

Level 4 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The atmosphere in this tournament can be described in many ways, and jovial is definitely one of them.

"A $300 tournament or a $1,000,000 tournament, it doesn't matter. I'll play bad," John Morgan said with a smile during some table chatter.

Morgan just lost a pot to Paul Newey and we caught the action on the flop. The flop showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades} when Morgan bet 55,000 from the small blind and Newey called from the big.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Morgan bet 105,000 after which Newey raised to 275,000. Morgan tanked for about 30 seconds and called.

On the river the {4-Clubs} hit and both players checked. Morgan showed {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} and his hand was mucked when Newey tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Newey raked in the pot and he's off to a great start here today.
