Georgios Kapalas Eliminated in 10th Place ($33,219)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Georgios Kapalas
Georgios Kapalas

Marc-Etienne McLaughlin opened to 40,000 from middle position and Georgios Kapalas three-bet to 92,000 from the button. David Jackson reraised to 215,000 from the small blind. McLaughlin folded, Kapalas five-bet all in and Jackson made the call.

Kapalas: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Jackson: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} flop brought a pair for Kapalas, but gave Jackson a flush draw. The {j-Spades} turn sealed it and the meaningless {4-Clubs} fell on the river. Kapalas hit the rail just short of the final table in 10th place.

We didn't catch the full action but Aaron Massey filled us in on the details. In a blind-versus-blind siuation, Aaron Massey raised to 45,000 and Jonathan Andero made the call. The flop was {9-}{7-}{4-} and Massey checked.

Andero moved all in and Massey called.

Massey: {9-}{3-}

Andero: {10-}{8-}

The turn was an {a-} and the river was a {4-} and Andero was eliminated.

Kennedy Wins a Crucial Race

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We were attracted to table 446 by the shout of all-in and call and headed there to discover Henrik Hecklen with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} in front of him and Brian Kennedy all-in and at risk while holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts} board kept Kennedy's queens in front and Hecklen had to hand over 401,000 of his stack.

David Quang Eliminated in 13th Place ($26,070)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
David Quang
David Quang

David Quang has been sent to the rail after his attempts to rebuild his stack failed. In the hand previous to his exit hand, Quang open-shoved for 170,000 and Marc-Etienne McLaughlin looked like he almost called, but didn't.

When Quang moved all-in for a second time, McLaughlin did call with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and found he was against Quang' {7-Spades}{6-Spades}. Neither player improved on the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} board and Quang headed for the exits.

McLaughlin Doubles Through Quang

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

David Quang has been left with 170,000 chips after doubling up Marc-Etienne McLaughlin.

Quang opened to 40,000 from under the gun and then quickly called when McLaughlin three-bet all-in for 253,000 from the next seat across. McLaughlin's {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} was behind to the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} of Quang, but the five community cards fell {J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to change that face and boost McLaughlin's stack.
