Kostritsyn Cut Down by the Chainsaw

Level 10

No-Limit Hold'em

A short-stacked Alexander "Postflopaction" Kostritsyn moved all in for his last 5,400 from the hijack and Alex Bilokur called him from the button. The small blind folded, and then Allen Kessler three-bet to 25,000. Bilokur folded and Kostritsyn discovered the bad news.

Kostritsyn: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Kessler: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop left Kostritsyn drawing to either running queens or jacks, but that possibility disappeared when the {7-Hearts} appeared on the turn. The meaningless {5-Diamonds} was put out on the river for good measure, and then Kostritsyn wished the table luck before exiting the tournament floor.
