Pahuja Crippled

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Evan McNiff open the action with a raise preflop to 32,000 from middle position. Vinny Pahuja and Ray Foley both made the call from the blinds and the dealer slid out {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flop.

Pahuja and Foley checked and McNiff continued for 48,000. Pahuja raised to 140,000 and McNiff three-bet to 340,000. Pahuja announced that he was all in and McNiff made the call.

Pahuja: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
McNiff: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Pahuja was in the lead with the set, but McNiff had the nut flush draw. The turn was the {2-Spades} to complete McNiff's flush and put him in the lead, and Pahuja needed to improve to a full house on the river to win the hand. It bricked out {5-Diamonds} and Pahuja thought he was eliminated from the tournament. The two were so close to even in stacks, and by the time the dealer counted out his chips, Pahuja was left with just 55,000.
