Perfect Turn for Paur

Level 47 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Taylor Paur opened for 25,000, and Michael Pickett defended. Both players checked the {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, and Pickett bet 30,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn. Paur called, and the river brought the {k-Hearts}. Pickett cut out 75,000, only to see Paur shove all in.

"Wow," Pickett whispered before calling.

Paur held {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for trips, but the key was his superior kicker since Pickett had also turned trips with {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Pickett had just 69,000 left, but he doubled the next hand by jamming {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} on the button and holding against {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}.
