West Sends Reilly Home

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Mark Reilly pushed his stack in from under the gun and Herb West pushed all in over the top from middle position. The rest of the players at the table folded.

Reilly: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
West: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Both player's paired their hand on the board of {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, but West's queens were the better pair. Reilly headed to the cage to collect $8,455.

Berger Busts One

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Seth Berger made the call on the button after a player pushed all in from middle position. He flipped over {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and it looked likely that he would double up the short stack who had {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. The flop and turn were a harmless {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}. But the river changed everything when the {10-Hearts} paired Berger's hand and he raked in the pot, eliminating his opponent.

Kling Gets Shoved On

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

This is the 14th time that Lauren Kling has cashed at the World Series of Poker, her best result coming in 2013 when she finished 387th in the Main Event, a result that netted the Las Vegas resident $28,063. For Kling to better that result in this event, she'll need to reach the final table.

One way she will be able to achieve that goal is knowing when to go with a hand and when to fold one. She did the latter a short while ago when she raised to 13,000 from under the gun and faced an all-in bet of 99,500 from the big blind. Kling tanked for over a minute before releasing her hand back to the dealer.

Kling looked genuinely pained in her decision making and looked to have made a big lay down.

Wilks Shoves On Double Paired Board

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Herbert West opened to 13,000 from the hijack, Justin Wilks tanked for close to a minute in the cutoff before calling, and the other active players folded in turn.

West checked the {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop and then called when Wilks bet 20,000. The turn brought the {4-Spades} into play, double pairing the board and putting two potential flush draws out there. West checked again only to see Wilks move all-in for 102,000 in total. Wilks' bet was too much for West to call and he let his hand go.

Weir Working His Way to the Top

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Kyle Weir
Kyle Weir

Kyle Weir is working his way to the top of the chip counts and is currently armed with 400,000 chips.

He added a few extra chips to his stack when he opened to 12,000 from the hijack seat, faced a 28,000 three bet from the small blind and responded with a large four-bet. The small blind mucked and Weir won the pot.

Should Weird reached 27th place or beyond, he will be guaranteed his largest-ever cash.

Dobson Doubles West

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

With the flop out and showing {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Ben Dobson bet 20,000 after Peter Gould checked. Herb West raised to 55,000 and Gould let go of his hand. Dobson took a minute before electing to pushing his stack in the middle, covering West. West snap-called and Dobson said "aw, a set" in disgust, knowing his opponent's hand before he even saw the cards. He was correct.

Dobson: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
West: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The {10-Hearts} and {3-Hearts} on the turn and river changed nothing and West scored the huge double-up through Dobson.

Kling's Aces Can't Hold

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ray Qartomy raised under the gun to 12,000, Britt Hightower calls in late position, and Lauren Kling moves all in from the blinds. Qartomy folded, and Hightower went into the tank. After a few moments Hightower made the call, putting Kling at risk.

Kling: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Hightower: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Hightower hit a runner-runner straight draw to eliminate Kling in 37th place, for $8,455.
