Herb West Eliminated in 22nd Place ($12,242)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Herbert West - 22nd Place
Herbert West - 22nd Place

Matt Stout sat in middle position and made a raise preflop. When action folded around to Herb West in the small blind, he pushed all in and Stout made the call.

Stout: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
West: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

West was in need of a lot of help if he was to survive this all-in hand and continue to play this tournament. The dealer spread out {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and West didn't find the assistance he needed. He was eliminated in 22nd place and will collect $12,242.

Dominick Minaya Eliminated in 21st Place ($12,242)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Dominick Minaya

Dominick Minaya has been sent to the rail in 21st place after two losing hands in quick succession wiped him out.

First, Minaya lost all but 80,000 of his stack when he tangled with Peter Gould on a board reading {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} eventually calling a 48,000 river bet only to be shown {A-}{J-} for trip jacks.

A couple of hands later, Minaya moved all-in with what turned out to be {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} in middle position and was re-shoved on by Jim Jakobsen who held {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

By the river the board read {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Minaya was gone.

Tom Dooley Eliminated in 20th Place ($12,242)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Facing a raise from Eric Spitzer, Tom Dooley pushed all in from the button. When Spitzer called, Dooley let out a groan, knowing he was probably beat.

Spitzer: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Dooley: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop of {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} was no good for Dooley, but the {q-Clubs} turn gave him a few more outs. His chances of survival were squashed when the river fell {4-Diamonds}, sweeping his chips to Spitzer and eliminating him in 20th place for $12,242.

Jeffrey Finkelstein watched on from the big blind and saw Matt Stout make it 27,000 to go from the button. The small blind ducked out of the way, Finkelstein moved all-in for around 110,000 and Stout made a reluctant call.

Stout: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Finkelstein: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

"That's a good flop," said Stout when he saw the {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, the {10-Spades} hit the turn and although the {J-Diamonds} completed a straight for Finkelstein, it also improved Stout to a flush.

The remaining 18 players will now redraw seats.

Just after redrawing seats for the final two tables, Seth Berger pushed his short stack all in from early position and Ronald Sullivan made the call.

Berger: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Sullivan: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Berger had two live cards and was looking to connect with the board in some way, but the dealer peeled out {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Sullivan had the better hand. Berger was eliminated in 18th place and will collect $14,994.

Jason Vanstrom had Jonathan Gray all in and at risk preflop.

Vanstrom: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Gray: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Vanstrom's full house was far ahead as Gray's pair of threes was counterfeited and he ended up playing the board.
