Hutter Eliminates the 2007 WSOP Main Event Champ

A short-stacked Jerry Yang got his last 55,000 all in preflop and was racing against Barry Hutter.

The flop didn't hit Hutter directly, but it did make him the favorite with two overs and a flush draw. The turn was a safe card for Yang, and he must have been fixated on dodging spades because when the peeled off on the turn he let out a, "Yes!"

He began to sit back down, but then he noticed the nine had actually paired Hutter to give him the win. Yang exited in 40th place and earned $11,449 for his efforts.

Meanwhile, Ivan Freitez, Shawn Busse, and Jason Berligen have all been eliminated from the tournament.
