"Why Double Up When You Can Triple Up"

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A short-stacked William Reynolds moved all in under the gun for his last 14,500 and David "The Dragon" Pham called right behind. Ivan Freitez then called from the big blind, and that prompted Reynolds to look on the bright side.

"Why double up when you can triple up," he said.

When the flop came down {2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, Freitez checked and then folded when Pham bet 15,000.

Pham: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Reynolds: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Both players had flopped an ace, but it'd be Reynolds' kicker that would earn him the triple after the {7-Spades} appeared on the turn followed by the {10-Hearts} on the river.
