Yunis Puts Vayo to the Test

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Nick Yunis opened the preflop betting with a raise to 2,500 from early position, a bet that folded out everyone around to the button. Gordon Vayo had the best seat in the house and he opted to call. Both blinds folded and it was off to the {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop.

Yunis, who rarely needs an excuse to bet, continued by making it 4,000 to go. Vayo stuck around and called. The {9-Spades} landed on the turn and Yunis fired a second barrel, this time moving a stack of yellow T1,000 chips forward. Calling the bet would have put Vayo all-in so it was no surprise that he went deep into the tank for close to one minute. Vayo emerged with a fold and Yunis began stacking his new chips.
