Liu Can't Beat Two

Level 10

Stud

Liu: {x-}{x-} / {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Opponent 1: {x-}{x-} / {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {x-}

Xuan Liu completed with the {K-Spades} and found two callers. With king-queen on fourth, Liu continued out with a bet and both of her opponents called. Fifth street allowed her second opponent to pair his king, giving him option of first action. He fired out a bet, Liu came over the top with a raise, and both of her opponents called. Sixth street checked around and the same occurred on seventh.

The player with paired kings tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, for two pair of kings and sixes. Both Liu and the third opponent mucked their hands, and Liu watched as the pot was pushed to the other side of the table. With this hit, she's now down to around 17,000 in chips.

Israelashvili Scores KO

Level 9

Omaha 8

After a series of raises before the flop, Roland Israelashvili and another player see {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} fanned on the felt. Israelashvili's short stacked opponent lead the flop with a bet and Israelashvili called. The {7-Hearts} fell on the turn and Israelashvili called his opponent's all in for less than one big bet.

Israelashvili: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs} finished the board on the river, giving Israelashvili's opponent two pair of sixes and fours. Israelashvili's tens and fours were the better hand though, and the player was sent to the rail. Israelashvili pulled in the pot and now has about 34,000 in chips.

Scotty Nguyen Gets Flushed Baby

Level 9

Stud

Seat 2: {X-}{X-}/{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}/{X-}
Scotty Nguyen: {X-}{X-}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}/{X-}

The player in Seat 2 opened for a raise and Scotty Nguyen made it 3 bets to go. His opponent four-bet it and Nguyen made the call. Nguyen check-called his opponent's 4th street bet and then would lead out on 5th street when he received the {A-Diamonds}. His opponent made the call. On sixth street, Nguyen bet again but this time his opponent raised. Nguyen made the call. Seventh street saw Nguyen check-call his opponent's bet and then muck his hand when his opponent turned over two hearts for a flush. Nguyen is on fumes after that hand with just 5,000 in chips left in his stack.

Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} / {x-}

Picking up with the action on fourth street, Scotty Nguyen's opponent fired out a bet he slid out a call. On fifth street, Nguyen was first to act and took this opportunity to lead at the pot. His opponent called and did so again when Nguyen fired on sixth street.

Both players checked seventh, prompting Nguyen's opponent to table {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. It was good, baby, and Nguyen watched as his opponent stacked his new chips. Nguyen's stack has decreased to 13,500.

Friedman Fires River

Level 9

Limit Hold'em

A middle positioned player opened with a raise and Adam Friedman made it three bets to go from the small blind. The big blind folded and the original raiser called. The dealer fanned {Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} on the felt and Friedman continued out. His opponent called to see the {8-Spades} drop down on the turn. Friedman slowed with a check and his opponent knuckled the table back.

Fifth street was the {3-Diamonds} and Friedman fired one last bet. This prompted a quick fold from his opponent, allowing Friedman to drag in the chips. His stack now sits right around 22,500.

Quads For Seed

Level 9

Limit Hold'em

On a board of {3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, a short stacked player is already all in for his tournament life. Huck Seed and another player are heads up for a side pot and the 1996 WSOP Main Event champion fires a bet. His opponent spends some time in the tank before shaking his head and kicking his cards into the muck. Seed is awarded the side pot and the two active hands are tabled.

Seed: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {K-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} instantly rolls off on the river, giving Seed quad eights for the knockout. He is pushed the pot and now sits around 25,000 in chips.
