Merson Calls for a Fair Catch

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Alex Bilokur
Alex Bilokur

Alex Bilokur raised to 10,000 on the button, Greg Merson reraised to 28,000 in the big blind, and Bilokur moved all in for what looked like 120,000 or so. Merson quickly tossed out a single chip, signifying a call.

Bilokur: {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Merson: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Bilokur got up out of the chair, but he wasn't drawing dead. The Russian could hit a runner-runner straight, and the {6-Hearts} on the turn kept him alive for one more street, but the {10-Spades} bricked off on the river.
