Duhamel Survives, Chiu Busts

Level 14

Chiu Chiu Train Heading Out of Town

Omaha 8

On a flop of {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Michael Mizrachi checked over to David Chiu who checked it back. Jonathan Duhamel fired out a bet and Mizrachi instantly came over the top for two bets. Chiu called, Duhamel three-bet, and both players called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Mizrachi led out again. Chiu called and Duhamel called all in for his last 4,500. The river was the {10-Clubs}, meaning there would be no qualifying low this hand. Both Mizrachi and Chiu checked and each were reluctant to table their hand.

The all-in Duhamel showed {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for kings and eights. Mizrachi showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for nines and eights before his hand was pulled into the muck. Chiu flashed {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and mucked the rest of his hand. Duhamel survived his all in and now has about 55,000 in chips. Chiu, on the other hand, was left crippled. He was eliminated from play on the next hand.
