Tran is the Man

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

JC Tran has put together a nice sized stack as play enters the late levels on the day.

He bumped it up to 1,700 before the flop only to have the big blind shove for some where near 10k. Tran made the call with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and was racing versus the big blind's {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Tran got the worst of the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, but the {8-Diamonds} turn certainly turned things around.

The {k-Clubs} river ensured the big blind's exit.

A few hands later, Tran bet a {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop after his big blind opponent checked to him. The player called 1,800, then check-called 3,600 on the {9-Spades}. Both players checked the {10-Spades} river, and Tran's {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} beat the big blind's {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.
