Hand #72: Jason Mercier was in the big blind and received a walk.

Hand #73: Daniel Negreanu received a walk.

Hand #74: Mercier raised to 40,000 and picked up the blinds and antes

Hand #75: Negreanu completed the small blind and Volpe made it 58,000 from the big blind. Negreanu folded and Volpe took down the pot.

Hand #76: Mercier raised to 47,000 from the small blind and Negreanu called from the big blind. Both players picked up one new card. Mercier fired 52,000 and Negreanu called. Mercier tabled {J-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} which prompted Negreanu to muck his cards. Mercier raked in the pot.

Hand #77: Mercier had the button and raised to 40,000. Volpe called out of the big blind and picked up two cards. Mercier opted for just one. Volpe checked and Mercier fired 58,000. Volpe slid out a check-raise to 218,000, putting Mercier deep into the tank. After about a minute, Mercier dropped his hand into the muck. Volpe showed {3-}{3-} and raked the pot, extending his chip lead.

Hand #78: Volpe put out a raise and took down the pot pre-draw.
