Hellmuth Doubles Through Negreanu
We arrived at the table just in time to find Phil Hellmuth all in for his tournament life of about 20,000 against Daniel Negreanu. Both players took one card at the draw and their hands were tabled.

Hellmuth pulled a second for his fifth card, giving him a pair. Negreanu looked at his card and announced it was a three-across.
"Ah!" said Negreanu. "It's a six. Straight! You're good, buddy."
Negreanu rolled over a , giving him the straight that allowed Hellmuth to find new life in the tournament.
"Three across is normally an amazing sweat there," said Negreanu with a smile.
"Wow," said Hellmuth. "I was all in there. In razz (referencing his runner-up finish in Event #7: $1,500 Seven Card Razz) I never was all in."
"What about when you busted?" needled Abe Mosseri from across the table. This elicited a a hearty laugh from Negreanu and a chuckle from Hellmuth while he stacked his new chips.
