A while ago Salsberg had a substantial lead, but O'Dwyer has chipped away at it and has almost pulled even.

Steve O'Dwyer's fortunes have reversed since we last checked in on his heads-up battle with Matt Salsberg. We came to the table on the river, with the board showing . O'Dwyer had bet 1600 on the button, but Salsberg had check-raised, and O'Dwyer went deep into the tank deciding whether to call for his last 7,000. After thinking for about 3 minutes, he reluctantly folded his hand.
O'Dwyer shoved all-in on the very next hand, and Salsberg snap-called with . O'Dwyer turned over and was in bad shape. The board ran out , giving Salsberg the pot. O'Dwyer has been eliminated and Salsberg will continue play in round 2 tomorrow.
