Hanks Doubles Through Baldwin

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Hand #56: Eric Baldwin opened the button for 48,000 only to have Brent Hanks three-bet all in for 448,000 from the small blind. The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Hanks doubled through Baldwin.

Hand #57: Robert Dreyfuss made it 48,000 from early position and Jacob Jung called from the big blind. The latter check-folded to a bet of 60,000 on the {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop.

Hand #58: Matt Waxman got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #59: Matt Waxman moved all in from the small blind and Robert Dreyfuss folded his big.

Hand #51: Eric Baldwin opened for 48,000 from late position and Jacob Jung called from the small blind. The {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and {10-Clubs} turn were checked by both players, and then Jung check-called a bet of 31,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river. Baldwin tabled the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Jung mucked.

Hand #52: Action folded to Matt Waxman in the small blind and he moved all in. Robert Dreyfuss folded the big.

Hand #54: Matt Waxman opened for 48,000 from the cutoff and Eric Baldwin called from the big blind. The {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Spades} flop inspired two checks, and then Baldwin check-folded to a bet of 42,000 on the {8-Hearts} turn.

Hand #55: Jess Dioquino moved all in from the button and took down the blinds and antes.

Tuu Ho Eliminated in 8th Place ($29,147)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Tuu Ho - 8th Place
Tuu Ho - 8th Place

Hand #41: In the very first hand back from the break, chip leader Matt Waxman opened for 48,000 from middle position only to have Tuu Ho, who doubled just before the break, three-bet to 100,000 from the small blind. Waxman responded by four-betting to 200,000 and then insta-called when Ho moved all in.

Ho: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Waxman: {q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Ho was in bad shape and in need of some help if he hope to keep his tournament hopes alive. The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop wasn't much, though it gave him a gutshot straight draw, meaning he could still win with either a jack or ace. The {3-Spades} turn wasn't what he needed, and neither was the {9-Clubs} turn. Ho exited in eighth place to a nice round of applause and made his way to the payout desk to collect $29,147.

Ho Doubles Through Makhija

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #40: Amit Makhija opened for 40,000 from early position and was met by a three-bet to 100,000 by Tuu Ho in the big blind. Makhija took his time before moving all in, and after thinking about it for 30 seconds or so, Ho called off for 441,00.

Ho: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Makhija: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

It was a classic flip, but Ho was slightly ahead and looking to hold. The {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop kept him in the lead, and the {10-Diamonds} turn did the same, though it gave Makhija added out to a gutshot straight draw. Fortunately for Tuu, the {8-Spades} blanked on the river and he was able to double to approximately 900,000.

Hand #36: Matthew Waxman received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #37: Brent Hanks raised to 40,000 from late position and Robert Dreyfuss called from the big blind. Both players checked the {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and {7-Spades} turn before the {4-Hearts} river put a straight out on the board. Dreyfuss check-called a bet of 100,000 with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and chopped the pot with Hanks, who held the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Hand #38: Eric Baldwin raised to 40,000 under the gun and Matt Waxman called from the button. Jess Dioquino came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Dioquino checked, Baldwin bet 53,000 and both his opponents folded.

Hand #39: Brent Hanks made it 40,000 to go from early position and Matt Waxman called from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded, the flop fell {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Hanks check-folded to a bet of 43,000.
