Tran Takes One Down

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We walked up to the table to see JC Tran in a heads up pot with Christopher Whitall. The flop came down {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, and Whitall check-called a bet of 16,000 from Tran. The turn brought the {2-Hearts}, and this time, Whitall led out for 22,000. Tran tossed in the call, and the river was the {k-Spades}. Whitall fired out 27,000, and Tran cut out the chips for the call. He started to shuffle them for a bit, then he went back to his stack for raising chips. His bet all together was 76,000, and he slid it into the middle. Whitall tanked for about 90 seconds before kicking his hand in, and Tran took down the pot to get up to 480,000.
