Geshkenbein Gets 'Em Back

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After losing a few pots, Vladimir Geshkenbein has once again climbed back up the charts by winning a million-chip race. The Russian was up against Carlo Savinelli, who was all in and at risk for around 520,000 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Geshkenbein tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and the window card was the {a-Spades}.

Unfortunately for Savinelli, it was followed by the {q-Spades}, giving Geshkenbein a set of queens, and the {3-Diamonds}. Savinelli was still alive when the {j-Spades} turned, any ten would give him Broadway, but the {5-Diamonds} bricked off on the river.

The Italian hit the rail, while Geshkenbein now has around 1.6 million chips.
