Doesn't Take That Long For Lacay to Call

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Ludovic Lacay
Ludovic Lacay

Ludovic Lacay opened for 6,000 from middle position. He was only called by the big blind player.

The flop came down {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Both players checked again.

"Deuce!" Lacay commanded to the dealer.

But it was the {A-Diamonds} that hit the river instead. The player in the big blind checked again to Lacay who fired 10,000. The big blind decided to raise to 20,000 and Lacay grabbed chips almost immediately.

"Wait," he said. "I'm going to think for a while on this one."

After just about five seconds Lacay threw the chips into the pot.

The big blind showed {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} but it was no good against Lacay's {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

"Just put my chip count at zero," Lacay said to us after the hand. "That's where I'll be in two hours anyways."
