Deeb Knocks Out a Player....or Does He?
We heard a bit of a commotion coming from Freddy Deeb's table, and walked over to see that he was involved in the hand being discussed. Here is what we saw when we got there. Deeb held 
on a completed board of 
, and it looked like he had just knocked out a player. This player is from Brazil, and hardly speaks or understands English, which was the root of the problem. Here was the issue, as Deeb told the floor in his own words.
On the river, Deeb asked the player how much he had (about 57,000). The player then pushed out his chips far enough that Deeb could see them, and Deeb asked "Will you call if I bet?" Again the player didn't fully understand, and Deeb's bet ended up being for 47,000, about 10,000 less then his opponent had. However, thinking that Deeb had set him all in, the players moved all of his chips forward. Deeb called the rest off with the flush, and then the confusion started over how much the bets actually were.
Deeb told the floor that he believed the players intentions were to just call the bet, and that he should be given his last 10,000 back. However, the dealer ruled that he had in fact moved all in, and that Deeb would be given the full stack. Deeb apologized to the player, who still appeared to be confused, but ultimately nodded to the table, and left with at least half a smile on his face. After winning that hand, Deeb has jumped all the way up to 306,000.
