2013 World Series of Poker
Johnny Lodden opened for 800 under the gun and received a call from the player on the button. Dustin Dirksen then three-bet the pot to 3,400 from the big blind, both his opponents called and the flop came down .
Dirksen wasted little time in leading out for 10,400 only to have Lodden slide in a raise to 21,000. The button folded and Dirksen called off for 15,350 total.
Dirksen:
Lodden:
Lodden had flopped top pair but it was still behind the aces of Dirksen. The turn didn't change a thing and neither did the river. Dirksen's rockets held to give him the double while Lodden was left with just 6,150 after the hand.

Daniel Negreanu has made an appearance in our tournament. Usually this wouldn't be too noteworthy, but it is today considering he's currently the chip leader with three players remaining in Event #59: $2,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball. That event is on a one-hour dinner break so Negreanu opted to late register this event.
"We're three handed already," Negreanu told PokerNews. "Seems worth it, right?" Negreanu then opted to wait for the blinds instead of posting and went over to Phil Ivey to update him on his pursuit of a sixth WSOP gold bracelet.
Meanwhile, a former champ of this event, Daniel Alaei, has late registered as well as Ashton Griffin and Toby Lewis.
