Paul White Surges, Nearing Overall Chip Lead
Paul White, who is known to some as "Zar-Dog," just took a big bite from Kenny Nguyen, taking the former WSOP Circuit ring winner's entire stack and approaching the overall chip lead in one fell swoop.
We missed the action firsthand, but after White was finished stacking his newly acquired towers of chips, he recapped the proceedings for us.
Apparently, Nguyen and White took a flop of and Nguyen led out for a bet. White min-raised back and called after Nguyen elected to shove his stack forward.
Showdown:
White:
Nguyen:
Nguyen had flopped a monster draw with his flush and straigh possibilities, but two of the sixes he needed for a gutshot were held by White. When the turn and river brought nothing but blanks, White claimed a massive pot and eliminated a dangerous opponent in a single stroke.
