Hands 57-58: Starting to Percolate

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #57: Gray opened to 300,000 from the cutoff, Liberto called from the button, and Kelly defended his big blind. The flop of {Q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} was checked by Kelly, by Gray decided on a bet of 400,000. Liberto flatted in positon, and Kelly got out of the way. The {10-Spades} dropped on the turn, and after Gray checked to him, Liberto slid 530,000 into the middle. A trap had been sprung however, because Gray quickly shoved for roughly 2.1 million. This big bet forced Liberto to release, and a huge pot was earned without a showdown.

Hand #58: Desilva opened for 265,000 and Liberto came along, bringing a flop of {9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. After both players opted to check, the {K-Diamonds} arrived on the turn. Desilva checked to Liberto, who fired 240,000 at his green hoodie-clad opponent. A flat call from Desilva brought the {9-Hearts} on the river, and after yet another check by Desilva, Liberto bet 660,000. This prompted Desilva to study his opponent, and the board cards, for a minute or so before he ultimately decided to call. Liberto opened up {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and his top pair was enough to take the pot down.

Hands 59-60

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #59: Hunichen opened for 240,000 from the cutoff, and Bennington called out of the small blind. When the flop came {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Bennington checked and Hunichen continued for 350,000. Bennington came along and the turn brought the {8-Spades}. Bennington again checked to Hunichen, who fired 550,000 into the middle. An announcement of "all-in" by Bennington put his last 2.8 million at risk, but Hunichen was finished with the hand and sent his cards into the muck.

Hand #60: Liberto opened from early position, making it 250,000 to play, and Chen defended his big blind to see a flop of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} hit the table. Chen check-called a bet of 240,000 by Liberto, and the {5-Clubs} arrived on the turn. Chen checked once again, eliciting a bet of 590,000 from Liberto this time around, which he again called. The river came {4-Spades} and Chen checked once more. Liberto knocked the table as well, leading to a showdown. Chen tabled the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Liberto mucked his holding.

Hands 61-62

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #61: A raise to 255,000 from the hijack earned Kelly an uncontested pot.

Hand #62: Chen raised to 260,000 after the action folded around to him on the button. Gray called out of the small blind and the flop fell {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs}, prompting him to check to Chen. A continuation bet was enough to force Gray's cards into the muck.

Hand #63: Desilva raised to 265,000 from the hijack, and Liberto three-bet for an amount large enough to force Desilva all-in if he elected to call. With {J-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} in the hole, the young Desilva did just that for about 2.1 million, and he found himself as a major favorite against the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Liberto. In the last hand before break, Desilva watched as the dealer delivered his fate.

Flop: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}

With middle set on the flop, and his opponent holding no spades, Desilva was in great shape to score the double. Liberto would have to catch a ten, but the odds were stacked squarely against him.

Turn: {6-Hearts}

Now Desilva was searching for tens or fives to complete a miraculous straight to send Desilva packing.

River: {5-Diamonds}

With that, Liberto exhaled in joy and turned to his supporters on the rail, who were already celebrating his good fortune. Desilva, meanwhile, absorbed his bad beat like a professional, offering congratulations to Liberto and wishing his former tablemates well as he departed the main stage.

Hands 64-66: Hunichen Doubles Through Chen

Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand 64: Jonathan Gray raises to 350,000 from the cutoff and takes it down.

Hand 65: Benny Chen openes to 320,000 under the gun and gets no action.

Hand 66: Chris Hunichen shoves for 715,000 from the cutoff and Benny Chen calls out of the big blind.

Chen tables {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, trailing the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} of Hunichen. The board ran out a safe {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for Hunichen to double up.
