Eric Wasserson Eliminated in 7th Place ($17,161)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Eric Wasserson - 7th Place
Eric Wasserson - 7th Place

It took less than one orbit at the seven-handed table for the next elimination to come, with Eric Wasserson being the player knocked out.

Wasserson's final hand began with him raising from middle position, then Scott Seiver three-bet from the button and when it folded back to Wasserson he thought a moment then called. Wasserson then drew one card and Seiver two, and when Wasserson led with a bet, Seiver quickly called.

Both took a single card on the next draw, with Seiver again calling a bet from Wasserson. Wasserson stood pat, Seiver took one card one last time, and when Wasserson tossed out his last 12,000, Seiver called right away.

Seiver quickly tabled his number three — {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} — and Wasserson showed his {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} before departing in seventh.

The final six players are taking a break now as preparations are made for the official final table.

Elezra Best Negreanu

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

On the first hand of the unofficial final table, Eli Elezra raised it up from under the gun, and Daniel Negreanu defended his big blind. Negreanu drew one, while Elezra drew two, and Negreanu bet in the dar. Elezra called, and the same drawing action happened. Negreanu bet, and this time, Elezra raised. Negreanu called, and said "you're gonna make me break the best hand," and discarded one. Elezra patted, and both players checked.

Elezra showed {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, and Negreanu flashed a ten before mucking.

Alexander Condon Eliminated in 8th Place ($17,161)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Alexander Condon - 8th Place
Alexander Condon - 8th Place

Alexander Condon found himself having slipped back down to about 50,000 and was in the small blind when Eli Elezra raised the button. It folded to Condon who looked down at his hand and had to fold — he'd been dealt aces full.

On the next orbit, Condon was raising from under the gun and it folded to David Chiu in the big blind who three-bet and Condon called. Condon took two and Chiu one, then Chiu check-called a Condon bet. Chiu took two again while Condon stood pat, and again Chiu check-called after Condon bet his last 4,000 chips.

Chiu took one card on the third draw, and Condon tabled his {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

Chiu was drawing live with his {8-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, and after picking up a {7-} for his last card, Condon was eliminated.

There will be a short break while the remaining seven players redraw for seats around the not-quite-final final table.

Seiver Gets There

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised it up on the button, and Scott Seiver called from the small blind. Seiver drew two, while Negreanu drew three, and Seiver bet in the dark. Negreanu called, then Seiver drew one while Negreanu drew two. The same betting action occurred, and Seiver took one, while Negreanu patted. Seiver checked, and Negreanu quickly checked behind.

"Good check," Seiver said as he rolled over {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Negreanu said he had a "bad nine," before mucking his hand.

Some for Seiver

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised from the button and got one caller in Scott Seiver from the small blind. Seiver then rapped the felt to indicate he was standing pat, and after voicing a "Wow" Negreanu drew two cards. Seiver bet, and with some hesitation Negreanu called.

Seiver continued to stand pat the next two draws while Negreanu took one each time. Seiver bet after the second and Negreanu called, then both checked on the end.

Seiver tabled {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} and Negreanu nodded as he mucked his hand, with subsequent talk making it sound as though Negreanu had made a {9-}{8-}.

Baker Takes Big One From Wasserson

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Eric Wasserson raised under the gun, and David "ODB" Baker reraised next to act. It folded back around to Wasserson, and he called, then drew three. Baker drew two, and Wasserson check called a bet. This time, Baker drew one, Wasserson drew two, and the same betting action happened. Each player drew one the third time around, and Wasserson fired out this time.

Baker thought for a bit, then said "I should raise," before he tossed in the call. Baker showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}, and Wasserson shot up out of his chair, showed {9-}{7-}, then mucked.
