Fotiadis Continues To Climb

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

George Fotiadis was down to less the one big bet just an hour ago, yet somehow, he has mounted a ridiculous comeback that now has him back at 400,000. In the first big hand, Fotiadis raised out of the small blind, and Owais Ahmed called from the big blind. The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and Fotiadis fired out again. Ahmed called, and when the {a-Clubs} hit the turn, the rest of the money got in the middle.

Fotiadis: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Ahmed: {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Fotiadis had hit his gin card on the turn, making the wheel. Ahmed could only hope for a chop, but the {9-Clubs} on the river brought no such luck. That got Fotiadis up to 300,000, while Ahmed fell to 280,000.

Stud-8

Fotiadis: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / {x-}
Gorodinsky: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

A few hands later in the stud-8 round, Mike Gorodinsky raised it up, and Fotiadis called. He checked called another bet from Gorodinsky on fourth street, and when he caught the second eight on fifth, he fired out. Gorodinsky called, and the same action happened on sixth and seventh.

Fotiadis rolled over {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for eights full, and Gorodinsky quickly gathered his cards togheter, checked them one more time, then mucked.
