2013 World Series of Poker
Level: 3
Blinds: 500/1,000
Ante: 100
Two levels are in the books which means it's time for the first 20-minute break of the day. Here's a look at some of the highlights from the first two hours of play here in Event #47: $111,111 One Drop High Rollers No-Limit Hold'em:
Here are a few shots from the start of the day.
When we arrived Marvin Rettenmaier still had 2,500 in front of him, and so did Chamath Palihapitiya in the hijack position. From the button Yevgeniy Timoshenko had made it 8,200 to go and the small blind had made the call. Rettenmaier folded but Palihapitiya made the call. "Just put a queen up there" Palihapitiya laughed.
"Someone call the floor" the small blind laughed out loud, seeing that Palihapitiya had gotten what he had asked for. "Ask and they shall receive" Palihapitiya laughed. The small blind and Palihapitiya checked to Timoshenko who contemplated his options. "I'll make it simple for you, I'm gonna call" said Palihapitiya to Timoshenko. Timoshenko bet out 14,200 nonetheless and, as promised, Palihapitiya made the call after the small blind had folded. The turn brought the on the table and Palihapitiya checked again. Timoshenko bet 28,800 and this made Palihapitiya tank. After a little while he folded, leaving the pot to Timoshenko.

The following five community cards were already out when we arrived: | | . Bill Perkins bet out 21,000 and right next to him Mohsin Charania had the action on him. Charania cut out 21,000 from his stack, and for a second it looked like he was going to toss those in to make the call. He quickly added two 25,000 chips though, and thus made it 71,000 to go. Perkins immediately called but could muck somewhat frustrated as Charania tabled for a flopped set.

Zach Hyman and Lawrence Greenberg engaged in a raising war that saw each of them put in 25,000 preflop. When the flop came down , Hyman checked from the small blind and Greenberg bet 60,000 from the hijack. Hyman verified the amount and then tossed in a call.
Both players proceeded to check the turn and river, prompting Hyman to announce, "I have a pair."
Greenberg then flipped over the for the best possible pair. Hyman didn't show his hand, but he indicated to other players that he had pocket kings.
