Klodnicki Takes the Chip Lead
Hand #31: Chris Klodnicki opened for 600,000 from the hijack and won the pot.
Hand #32: Chris Klodnicki raised to 600,000 for a second hand in a row, but instead of swiping the blinds he was met by a three-bet to 1.505 million from Antonio Esfandiari on the button. The blinds both folded and then Klodnicki did the same.
Hand #33: Antonio Esfandiari raised to 625,000 from the cutoff, Chris Klodnicki called from the big blind and the flop came down . Both players checked, the turned and Klodnicki checked. Esfandiari 550,000. Klodnicki then woke up with a check-raise to 1.5 million, Esfandiari called and the completed the board on the river.
Klodnicki used two fists to fire out 3.3 million and Esfandiari hit the tank. "Klodnicki ladies and gentlemen," Esfandiari said to the crowd.
Esfandiari sat up in his chair and leaned over the table a bit. He continue to tank for several more minutes before saying, "I don't see how I can fold this hand. Can I ask Perky for advice, Klodnicki?"
Klodnicki did not respond. Esfandiari continued to mull over the decision and then suddenly sent his cards to the muck.
