Davis Pots The Flop

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

After limping under the gun, Raymond Davis called a 10,800 chip pot bet from Manuel Bevand from the cutoff.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and instantly, Davis put out a pot sized bet for 25,200.

Bevand went into the tank for at least a minute before throwing his hand into the muck.

"Don't worry, I had it," Davis said after the hand. He quickly showed Bevand three cards that we could not see before mucking his hand.

After that, Davis has one of the biggest stacks in the room with just under 200,000 chips.

Woodward Alive

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

The action folded round to Matt Woodward in the hi-jack and he potted to 8,400 only to have the small blind move all in for roughly 30,000. Woodward made the call for his final 17,000 and the cards were tabled.

Woodward: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to see Woodward spike the double with trip nines to over 36,000 in chips.

Gavin Smith Plays a $4 Hand

After a raise and a call preflop, Manuel Bevand and Gavin Smith took to a flop heads up. On that flop of {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} Smith had a bet of 13,200 in front of him and was waiting for Bevand to act.

"Look, you can either put it in and I'll call, or you can pay me $4 and I'll show you the hand after you fold," Smith told Bevand. Eventually, Bevand folded, but he had his headphones on so he couldn't hear Smith's deal.

"Pay me four American dollars and you can see this hand," Smith told Bevand, who shook his head and declined the offer.

Allyn Jaffrey Shulman wasn't having it though. "I'll pay you the $4," She told Smith.

Smith obliged and turned up his {A-}{A-}{A-}{2-} and Shulman reached into her purse and paid him $4.

"I just want everyone to know that I played trips," Smith said after the hand.

"I know what you wanted those for," she said. "You wanted more tip money for drinks!"

Everyone at the table laughed and Smith collected the pot and an extra $4.

Judah Chipping Up

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Catching the action on the flop of {2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} we found the big blind leading out with an all in bet of 13,700. Zhen Cai went into the tank before folding as Mel Judah snap-called.

Judah: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Big Blind: {K-Clubs}{k-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed the {3-Spades} and {8-Clubs} to see Judah eliminate his opponent and move to 75,000.

"All Playing for 2nd!"

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow found himself all in for his last 21,600 against Gary Bolden on a {8-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Spades} flop.

Matusow: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Bolden: {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The turn and river ran out the {8-Diamonds} and {8-Clubs} and Matusow doubled through.

The next hand he opened to 6,000 and Bolden made the call before Matusow bet pot - 15,600 - on the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop.

As Bolden was deliberating, Matusow stated, "get one more double up and you're all playing for 2nd boys!"

Bolden eventually mucked, and Matusow flashed his {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Spades}.

"I don't think I've had back-to-back ace-ace-deuce in my life!"

Matusow - who at one point early last level was down to just a few thousand courtesy of a river beat at the hands of Raymond Davis - has now built his stack back up to over 50,000 in chips.

Zaichenko Gets Second Set of Quad Tens Today

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Earlier in the day we reported how Joe Hachem had flopped quad tens and got paid off. This time it was Andrey Zaichenko who had the quad tens.

Zaichenko and one other player had bets of 4,500 and 6,000 in front of them from preflop and flop action. The board read {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the turn fell the {10-Hearts}. On that turn Zaichenko put out a bet of 20,000 and he received a call from the other player.

The river fell the {10-Spades} and Zaichenko immediately announced all in, which was an effective all in as it covered the stack of the other player, but was officially considered a pot sized bet as he had more than the pot.

The other player quickly mucked his cards and the big pot was pushed towards Zaichenko. Zaichenko wasn't just being a bully though, he had rivered quad tens against his opponent and he showed him the {10-Clubs}.

"It's just too much," the player said as he shook his head pushed the chips away from him.
